Support for Diane Montgomery

Donation protected
Diane and Bill Montgomery were retired and raising their granddaughter, Nadiyah, when he passed in early October. Bill had been battling pancreatic cancer for two years and Diane faithfully cared for him on her own without any assistance or backup caregiver.

It was her wish to lay Bill to rest honorably as he was drafted into service and deployed to Vietnam for two tours under the United States Army. She used the modest payout from his life insurance policy for funeral services worthy of a veteran. Now as Diane works on getting her house ready for sale and downsizing, she struggles with the monthly bills in the midst of her grief and the uncertainty of what is to come.

Caregiving is difficult to face alone and Diane never asked for help. It is still hard for her to ask for help, but we know it’s time! We’re asking family, friends, and Diane’s community for assistance. Let’s show her she can lean on us for support!

We are setting a goal of $10k to get her through the next couple of months while she finds a sustainable path forward. This is not an easy ask. Diane has always taken pride in her self sufficiency and she is determined
to get along independently. At the same time, she doesn’t have to do this alone. Let’s help her land on her feet. This money will be used to pay her mortgage and monthly bills for 3 months in her transition to her new normal. We thank you for your consideration!
