Hello!

My name is Keilula. I am creating this fundraiser in the hopes of helping my sister and her family as they face these life changing circumstances.

My very young niece, Deja, was severely injured in an accident on April 25, 2023. An unlicensed driver ran a stop sign, and they collided. She was spun into on coming traffic and also hit a semi truck head on. She and my nephew were in the car and by the grace of God, they are still alive. My nephew walked away with some minor wounds, but Deja has a long road ahead emotionally and physically. She sustained a spinal cord injury and can not walk at the moment.

My sister is one of the strongest, hardworking, giving, and caring person I know. She is a single mother and is having to divide her time between the hospital, her daughter's rehab therapy, therapies for her son, and much more. She does all this mostly by herself, and she is the sole income provider. My sister was working three jobs to pay all the bills before the accident, but now of course that is not possible. She also has to make wheelchair accessible modifications to her house. If all this wasn't enough, she had her car stolen last week. I wish I was making this all up, but no this is real life for her.

My sister is so strong, and some people dont even know her struggles or that all this has happened. She just keeps going and smiling and praying, but she really needs help. I've had several people ask how they can help. I've also had some people encourage me to do this, so I really hope this Gofundme lightens her financial burdens some.

I'm hoping to raise enough money to cover a couple months of bills, food, gas and all her needs for the home modifications.
