Support for Dr. Perez's Family After Loss

Dr. Perez was a member of the Cape Coral and Gulf Coast medical staffs since 2009 and a member of the Cape Coral Hospitalist group since 2015. He received his medical degree in Cuba in 1989 as well as postgraduate training in pulmonology. Completing an internal medicine residency at Texas Tech in 2009 he then began his work as a hospitalist in SW Florida. Dr. Perez was an exceptional physician, well loved by his colleagues, patients and co-workers. He was dedicated to his calling guided by deep rooted values and a strong work ethic. He exhibited a genuine approach and kindness in all his interactions. He unexpectedly died at the age of 57 on July 15th 2024, leaving behind his wife and two daughters. He will be very much missed by many.
