Donations for Dru’niyya's Homegoing Ceremony

Hi, I’m the mother of Dru’niyya Griffin and I’m fundraising for my beautiful daughter whose life was tragically cut short. Dru’niyya was a light, a deeply loved member of our family, and a pillar in my life. Dru’niyya was my oldest daughter, she was sweet, loving, and full of energy. On Mother’s Day two years ago Dru’niyya was shot several times just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dru’niyya was pregnant at the time of being shot. It hurts to know my child was having a baby and the opportunity to be a mother was taken from her. None of us knew that would be the last time we would see her at her fullest potential. The photo of her here was the last photo she took. After being shot Dru’niyya was paralyzed from the neck down with a tracheotomy in her throat. As a mother, the moment Dru’niyya was shot my life changed and I was unable to work. For almost two years I cared for her full time as her mother and her nurse. I watched her day in and day out as she fought for her life, enduring countless procedures, medications, and having to live her life from a bed. May 7th 2024, one day before the 2 year mark, Dru’niyya breathed her last breath at Broward Health Coral Springs. As a family we worked tirelessly to try to help her stay alive but God called her home. Our family is broken and trying to hold ourselves up with each passing day. Dru’niyya was taken from us suddenly and we are trying to scramble for resources. The people responsible have not been caught and the justice system has not been a support to us.
