Hi, my name is Karen Crane, and I'm starting this go fund me for Elisa (DePace) Brieger. Elisa and I have been friends since we were in sixth grade and she is one of the most important people in my life. She is a friend to many and is loved by all who meet her. Many of you will remember her from our Waltham days when we all called her Eli (some of you still do).
For those not aware, in her thirties, not long after she was married to Aaron and while she was in the prime of her life and career, she was diagnosed with kidney disease. She has been on dialysis for quite a long time and over the years I have seen her fight random and increasing medical issues with her typical sassiness and strength (some may say it's the Waltham in her). At this point though, her health has declined and she needs our help. She is dealing with complications from her disease and has been hospitalized for over five weeks. Her medical issues seem to be mounting up, with one thing occurring after another. Her husband Aaron, who has been her rock, needs to take time off of work to be by her side, but unfortunately, in Michigan, where she currently resides, you do not get any type of pay when on FMLA when your spouse is ill.
I am asking for all those who can to please donate so that Aaron can focus on being with Elisa and so that Elisa can battle her health issues without worrying about medical bills and house expenses. Any amount helps and is truly appreciated. We are also asking for prayers and positive thoughts for healing. If you prefer not to donate through a platform, but still want to help please feel free to reach out to me directly through this site or find me on Facebook.
Thank you,
Karen
