Supporting Emory & Abbey Gibson
Donation protected
In late June, less than three months after their wedding, Emory was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be undergoing a craniotomy on July 29th. Although this has been scary and shocking for Abbey and Emory, they are incredibly optimistic, faithful, and trusting in the Lord and how He already has and will continue to provide.
Many people have reached out and asked how they can best support the Gibsons during this time. There are three main ways you can best show your love and support:
1. This GoFundMe has been created for those that feel inclined to donate financially. As you can imagine, brain surgery is not cheap, and neither is parking at the Med Center, radiation, chemotherapy, hospital stays, etc. Those that know Emory and Abbey know they would never ask for a dime, but I know every dollar will help alleviate some of this financial stress for them.
2. So that Abbey can spend her time and effort being an incredible nurse to Emory after his surgery, a Meal Train has been created. If you would like to provide a meal, you can access their Meal Train here: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/no3rv7
3. The most important way you can love and support Emory and Abbey is with your prayers. I know they have already felt every single one and will continue to for the days, weeks, and months to come. Please pray for Emory’s healing, for his medical team at MD Anderson, and for insurmountable peace for Emory, Abbey, and both of their families.
Thank you for the ways you already have and will continue to love and support the Gibsons during this time! We are confident in the ways God will use this story to further His Kingdom and make His name known.
