Hi! Edgar is my sisters husband and has been hospitalized since 12/10 when he contracted Covid-19. He was put on a ventilator and in a coma for more than 2 months. There were times the Doctors said even though they were doing everything they could that he was just too sick and the outcome would be grave. On 1/31 we had a meeting at then hospital where the doctors told my sister the best option would to be to make him comfortable as his lungs were just too damaged to hope for any further healing.

This wasn’t an option, my sister advocated hard for them to keep trying and they did. Well after another long road Edgar did improve! He’s actually well enough to come home!! We are all so ecstatic! I am creating this fundraiser to help with my sister absorb some of the costs of bringing Edgar home.

He will come home on a series of new medications that have a large out of pocket expense and home health equipment that isn’t covered by insurance.
