Support for families of tragic accident on hwy 1

Dear Friends,

We are deeply saddened to share the devastating news of the passing of Harjeet Singh and Sukhpal Singh, beloved sons, brothers, and providers, who tragically lost their lives in a fatal truck accident in Sorrento, BC, on May 27, 2024.

Harjeet, 28, from Amritsar, Punjab, and Sukhpal, 32, from Bathinda, Punjab, both worked as truck drivers in British Columbia, Canada. They both came to Canada in 2023 with the hopes of earning and providing for their families. Unfortunately, Harjeet's and Sukhpal's tragic passing has left their families without a source of income.

In this time of immense grief, both families are in need of our support. They wish to bid farewell to their beloved sons for the last time and require $10,000 - $12 000 each for the repatriation of their sons' bodies back to India. We hope together as a community we are able to raise $50,000 to alleviate the financial burden on both families, enabling them to overcome any debts incurred while sending their children to Canada and providing for their families' futures.

We understand no amount of money can lessen the great loss these families have experienced. Nevertheless, your generous contributions will provide comfort and assistance to Harjeet's and Sukhpal's grieving families during this incredibly challenging time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference and help ease their burden as they navigate this tragedy.

ਇੱਕ ਬੜੀ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਚਾਣਚੱਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਵੀਰ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਹੋਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਸੁਰੈਂਟੋ ਬੀ.ਸੀ. ਵਿਖੇ ਮਈ 27 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸੱਟ ਲੱਗੀ।

ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 28 ਸਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ 32 ਸਾਲ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਸਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਡ ਲਿਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਏ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ, ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਠਿੰਡੇ ਤੋਂ। ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਆਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੌਖੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਜੀਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇ। ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸੀ।

ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਜੀ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਆਖਰਲੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨੇ, ਇਸ ਇੱਛਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਰੀਰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੇ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ, ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ 10 - 12 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਖਰਚਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਾਂ 50 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਡਾਲਰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੀਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਨੂ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਲੇਕਿਨ ਇਸ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਉਹ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
