Support for Family After Uber Driver's Tragedy

Hi. Our family is going through a rough time. My husband was out doing Uber on Monday night on 19th and Peoria in the Pilsen area. When he got out of the car to give a customer her order, a car that was driving by stopped right next to our car. As my husband was handing the delivery order, he turned to look at the car and saw that the car that stopped next to our car let someone out of the back seat and the guy got in our car. My husband ran after our car trying to stop him. We had a baby on July 4th and I am not working. Our only source of income is my husband doing Uber. He tells me he ran after the car because all he could think about was that our car was our livelihood. Unfortunately, the guy that got into our car didn’t care and as soon as my husband got close enough he ran over him and left him there to die. He broke his ankle in 3 places and injured his head and had to get stitches on his finger. He can’t work for 3 months or more. We feel hopeless and stuck and have no idea what to do next. We have no car now and all we think about is how we can pay for rent and how will we take our baby to her appointments. We are hard working people and this situation we are going through is hard. I am thankful my husband is alive and hopefully we find a way out of this. Also if anyone sees a red Hyundai Elantra . It has a hole on the drivers back seat door . License plate E620837. Our car is still missing and my babies car seat and stroller were in side .
