Support for Family & Lahaina Affected by Wildfire

Aloha y'all, my name is Wenzie.

I created this GoFundMe on behalf of my family, friends & community who have been displaced by the devastating wildfires that wreaked havoc in Lahaina, Maui on August 8, 2023. Lahaina has shaped & contributed to who I am today as much as it has provided belonging, community & wonder to everyone who has had the opportunity to experience its culture, beauty & glory. With this GoFundMe, I hope to contribute to providing food, water as well as reconstructing homes.

While the extent of the damage is ongoing, it is still unknown how truly disheartening the losses are with fires continuing to burn, people unaccounted for & limited access to Lahaina. Everything my family has sacrificed & worked tirelessly for was engulfed in flames, reduced to ashes & rubble. The aftermath of this tragedy has brought immense sorrow as I watched & waited from afar. With a heavy heart, I humbly ask y'all for support & consideration. Please find it in your heart to offer kindness, whether it be through prayers, heartfelt thoughts, sharing this GoFundMe, or contributions - your generosity will be a stepping stone to help my family, friends & community navigate & rebuild through this devastation.
