Support for FF Dewayne Burton's Funeral Costs

I am the wife of Retired FF Dewayne Burton, who passed away on July 13, 2024, after a battle with Alzheimer's.

He had always taken care of all of us and thought everything was set up for me at his death.

I found out afterward that due to a difference in paperwork and guidelines than what we had thought, I would not receive the death benefit from his Defined Benefit Retirement plan he initially had at his hiring. I also am not receiving his monthly retirement benefits. But I am more concerned with paying the balance of his funeral bill and whatever I can towards the finishing of his grave and marker.

He gave over 40 years to Fire Service between Baldwin Fire and Hall County Fire in Georgia. He was also a wonderful husband, father, and Papa.

Anything you can donate to this account will be used strictly for the purpose listed and we will greatly appreciate it as this is very difficult for us to ask. His service was in July but had to set a future date for this account. Thank you!
