Support for Genevieve
Donation protected
Our long-time friend and colleague, Genevieve Williams-Murph recently lost her mother, Mary Alice Miles. With the expense of travel to Chicago and funeral arrangements, we would like to lessen her financial stress during this difficult time.
From Genevieve:
My mother was born the 2nd oldest of 11 siblings in Panther Burn Mississippi in 1941. She was the mother of 7 children raised in Chicago, Illinois; Grandmother of 15 and Great Grandmother of 18. A devoted Christian Woman who loved her immediate family; extended family; people in general, and “she did not meet a child that she didn’t adopt into the family”. She served her Church and Community by visiting nursing homes and hospitals in Chicago area until her health limited her goings. One of the songs she always sang was “Give Me My Flowers while I yet live so that I can smell the beauty they bring”.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness during my family’s time of loss, any donation amount would be greatly appreciated.
