Support For George's Kidney Failure & Dialysis

Donation protected
Our dear friend and long time faithful Christian missionary to the Japanese,
George Sosich, has lost his kidney function for a second time.

George first suffered kidney failure in 1999.

He did life saving kidney dialysis, 4 hour sessions, 3 times a week, for two years until receiving a kidney transplant from his sister in 2001.

Unfortunately this transplanted kidney failed him in 2017 and George has had to be on dialysis again since then which has caused his body tremendous hardship.

George is currently on the kidney transplant waiting list in Ballarat, Australia which is near his adult kids and relatives.

George and his wife Naoko have a 1 year old boy and 9 year old girl.

He is unable to work and they are living very frugally off a small disability pension.

Under normal circumstances he would have gotten a kidney by now, but he was recently informed that his previous transplanted kidney caused him to develop anti-bodies to 98% of the population.

This makes it very difficult to find a matching kidney and he may have to wait many years & will have to continue ongoing grueling  dialysis treatment.

The region George now lives in is quite cold which is very hard on George and worsening his already fragile condition.
George has Raynauds disease which makes it even worse and has also developed a bad case of Osteoporosis.

In light of these factors George and Naoko have had to think about how to preserve his health for a likely much longer than expected wait for a new kidney.

After much thought and consultations with doctors and family they have decided that he needs to  move to a warmer climate, where he can do much better.
Both the doctors and his family have encouraged this as the best move.

So in order to preserve his life, George & his family have decided to move to Perth.

Perth is the most affordable Australian large city with necessary medical facilities and year round warm weather.

They are planning to move before the colder autumn and winter weather begins to set in and have decided on mid April, 2020.

But the big challenge is that it’s 3300 km’s away and the move will be very costly.

George and his family urgently need our support to make this long and costly move.

Your help is greatly appreciated to give George a positive chance at a long and healthy life.

God Bless and Thank You All!
