Urgent funding needed:

Please help my beautiful family escape from the war:

Beneficiaries:

Khaled Abunada 57 years old
Reem Abunada 47 years old
Manar Abunada 21 years old
Hussein Abunada 18 years old

Khaled and Reem, my parents, have dedicated their lives to hard work and perseverance, striving to ensure a brighter future for their children. They have made significant sacrifices, including financing Nora and Mohamed's medical studies in Egypt, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to their children's education and well-being.

Hussein, an 18-year-old with ambitions of becoming an engineer, faced the disruption of his final year in high school. His aspirations of studying in Germany to fulfill his passion for engineering hang in the balance, awaiting the support needed to overcome the current challenges. Moreover, my sister Manar, born in 2002, is pursuing her dreams in physical therapy, The war has shattered her plans for thinking about completing here studying and continue through this career, leaving her future uncertain

Purpose of the fund: why do we need your help?

We are seeking your assistance to evacuate my family, who are currently residing in a school in Rafah, Gaza, where conditions are unsafe, riddled with diseases, and unbearably overcrowded.

Rafah is an unsafe place; it is currently under threat of a massive ground invasion, which puts everyone living there in imminent danger.

My Story: Meet my Family

My name is Sawsan Abunada. I am a daughter striving to save her family. I hope you will read my letter with your hearts and empathize with my situation, imagining what I am going through.

I am confident that those who have families will understand my situation.

Your support could save my parents and my siblings. Every minute, they are faced with death, illness, and hunger, and their lives are in imminent danger. Every moment, I fear losing them. And I am constantly reminded of the deaths of many friends and relatives.

Before the war, I traveled abroad in search of a better life while my family remained behind to take care of our siblings. Under the bombs, they were forcibly displaced from the south of Gaza to the north. Our house was completely destroyed, and we have nowhere else to go.

The Events Since the Start of the War: Reem Shares the Story.

"The seventh of October was a Saturday.
I woke up to sounds of explosions. It was the beginning of a new week, so I decided not to go to work and also kept my children from going to school. My husband told me to stay at home (Bir Al Na'ja)."

We didn't stay home for long, as we were also asked to evacuate. We were forcibly displaced four times. The last time, when we moved from the South to the North, we trembled with fear; they had just bombed our neighbors, with whom we used to fetch water. We took a taxi and headed to the checkpoint. I raised my children to be strong. I showed them the tanks and the soldiers; they weren't afraid. At one point, people shouted, "There's a tank!" Rita looked up to the sky. I think she thought it was a bird. We stayed at the checkpoint for five hours. We hadn't eaten anything that day. We didn't even complain. We were so brave. We arrived at the school that night and slept on the floor from exhaustion. We sleep in a shared classroom with 35 people. The sanitary facilities are limited, to say the least. I recently took my daughter's girls to the hairdresser and had their hair cut off because of a lice outbreak. I couldn't help but cry when I saw that Maria's beautiful hair was gone. I told myself that it was okay, it would grow back.

Every day, I have to walk 4 kilometers to fetch water for our daily needs. If we want to shower, we have to walk the same distance again. Every day is a real struggle. Every morning, I wake up before dawn to join the long queue at the communal oven. There, I wait for my turn to bake bread over an open fire, ensuring that my husband and children have something to eat. This routine is shared by countless women in our situation, all facing the same struggles and challenges.

In the past six months, my parents and siblings have been moving from one place to another, enduring cold and extreme hunger. My siblings are too young to understand why they have to endure such terrible and painful circumstances; they have many unanswered questions. Yet, my parents and siblings continue to dream of a peaceful life, without bombs, hunger, and cold. They simply wish to go home and play with their toys, too young to understand the meaning of war.

I have lost too many family members.
I cannot lose my parents and siblings. We simply want to survive and rebuild our lives in a safe place. The first step is to escape the war and find safety. Next, we aim to establish a new life in a secure country where my siblings can attend school and university. I want my siblings to have the same opportunities as everyone else. I want them to live and participate in healthy activities. I want them to develop appropriately in a nurturing environment. And I want to see the joy on their faces again. We need your help to get them to safety. Every dollar you donate brings us closer to safety. If everyone donated just $5 or $10, it could be enough to save my family.

We are incredibly grateful for your support, and if you can spread the word to your family and friends, it would be tremendously helpful as well.

What are the funds are going to be used for: please find in what follows a description of the funds that will be collected.

My family must leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing, which costs $6500 per adult and $3000 per minor.

- The cost of entry via the Rafah border crossing for four Palestinian adults is 26,000 US dollars.

 - I am asking for your support for the evacuation of my parents and my sister from the Gaza Strip. With your donation we can save my sister, Manar and Hussein, and my parents.

A thank you that comes from the heart, A big thank you to everyone who donates and shares, for saving my family.
