Support for Gianna and Anthony
Donation protected
On behalf of Gianna and Anthony, we're organizing a Gofund Me campaign as she continues to battle for her life.
As many of you know, Gianna was diagnosed with brain cancer in the summer of 2010 – she was 10 years old. She fought and we all cheered alongside her and we celebrated her being cancer free in 2012!
Then, in October 2019, Gianna – now 20 – suffered a debilitating stroke caused by a rapidly growing brain tumor and she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. A different form of cancer than she had in 2010, and we were told 'the worst kind' of brain cancer.
Gianna has been fighting every day, hour, minute since this new diagnosis. She's had wins and losses with her mobility – but she still has extremely limited movement in the left side of her body.
We continue to cheer for her as Anthony keeps us updated through frequent social media posts. But Anthony has reached a point where he is asking for our support. Many of you have asked 'how can I help' or 'what can I do'? Here is one thing – you can donate to this Gofund Me campaign which will support the day to day expenses of groceries, transportation, rent and other essentials. These funds will also support whatever comes next for Gianna – to keep her safe, cared for and comfortable.
For anyone who has had the honor to spend time with Gianna, you know she possesses an abundance of spirit, a wondrous sense of humor and inquisitiveness, and a deep love for her brother, uncle, aunt, mother and so many others.
The NY Post recently profiled Gianna's love for the Knicks and the organization's support for her. They also featured her in 2012 after her first defeat with cancer. Any amount of support you can give will be greatly appreciated and go directly to supporting Gianna as she fights her second battle with brain cancer.
Thank you all! We love you Gianna!
