Support for Ginger Munro and ECMO equipment

My name is Susan Corthell. This Go Fund Me page is for my sister Ginger Munro and her family to help try to lessen the burden of medical bills. Some of you know my sister was diagnosed with Covid at the end of July at 22 weeks pregnant. On August 5th she had to be admitted to the hospital with low oxygen level. August 10th she was transferred to a high risk pregnancy hospital that also does ECMO. That same day she was intubated and then placed on ECMO on August 11th. If you have been following her journey you know it has been a roller coaster and we lost our precious niece at 27 weeks (September 14).

As you can imagine, spending 81 days in the hospital, with 70 of those days intubated and on ECMO in the ICU, and now in a rehabilitation unit, has resulted in significant medical expenses even with medical insurance.

I know so many people have been asking how they can help. My hope is to help take any financial burdens off my sister and her family while she continues to recover.

All donations will go to cover medical expenses and any needs while she recovers at home. Any excess funds will be donated to purchase a new ECMO machine. My sister was very lucky to be placed on ECMO due to the limited number of these machines. Gin and her family want to give someone else an opportunity to receive this life saving treatment.
