Support for Glenn Beck and family.

My brother Glenn has cancer and needs our support. His story starts when he served in the Air Force. He was stationed at George Air Force Base. Two years after he was discharged, George AFB was shut down and declared a SuperFund site. Despite his cancers and other health issues, which were likely caused by exposure to chemicals and radioactive contaminants, on the job, in the air, and in the water, his application for VA disability has been denied.
Within a couple of years of being discharged from the Air Force, Glenn's health started to go downhill. He developed sciatica, degenerative disc disease and Osteoarthritis in his back. He also had rare abscesses and fissures that had to be removed and surgically repaired. In 2005, he was diagnosed with rare Ocular Melanoma and had to have his left eye surgically removed and a prosthetic placed. At this time he developed kidney stones and esophageal strictures. In 2012, during a CT scan for a kidney stone, it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized to his lungs and had to have the lower left lobe of the lung removed. The immunotherapy prescribed resulted in severe ulcerative colitis. A few years later in 2015, cancer spread to his small intestines, which required 6" to be surgically removed. The immunotherapy again caused colitis that was so severe that the lesions in his colon caused him to bleed out. This kept him in the hospital for months and then homebound for several more months to recover. In 2018, cancer spread to his sacrum (bone cancer). This required radiation treatments and then immunotherapy for the next year and a half. In September 2020 the cancer was found in the liver. Surgery was not an option. This required more immunotherapy and radiation treatment of the liver. This helped control the liver tumors but caused severe abdominal pain. In September 2021 he developed ulcers and they found cancer spread to the stomach. He was placed on infusion chemotherapy that took all day to infuse and then a week to recover. A side effect of this chemo was it caused neuropathy in his hands and feet that has resulted in permanent nerve damage. A PET scan in August 2022 showed cancer had spread more in the lungs. Onto another immunotherapy for 3 months. The follow-up PET scan showed cancer has progressed in his bones infecting his spine, pelvic bone, hips, and upper thigh bones.
Glenn has spent 17 years fighting cancer. In his claim to the VA for disability he wrote "While I was stationed at George AFB I was healthy, active and able to perform my duties with no problems. Soon after discharge, I developed a lot of odd and rare things for being such a young person with no previous health issues or family history of them." At a time when Glenn should be in his prime earning years, cancer is drawing from his family's financial security with medical bills, transportation costs, and time away from work. Join me in supporting Glenn, his wife Michelle, and his son Kalen. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
Sincerely, Carl Schultz
