️Support For Godfrey's Family
In the beginning of our Journey together, Godfrey and his family lived in a simple home made of mud bricks and a thatched roof. This is common in Dedza, Malawi. As we worked towards what would become Choonadi Orphan and Widow Care, he asked that we help provide a safer, more permanent dwelling for him, his mother, his sister, and his sister's small children. I felt that this would help him focus on running Choonadi Orphan and Widow Care and complete his pastoral training, and by God's grace the house was built!
That was 4 years ago.
Since then, Godfrey has married a wonderful woman and together they have brought a child into the world. Godfrey is at the top of his class in school and continues to grow as a pillar of the community. He shares the resources we provide for orphaned children and their caretakers, organizes community events, and helps to place the most vulnerable children in loving homes (sometimes at a moment's notice, when they are brought to his doorstep by those who can no longer care for them).
As he continues to spread peace, love, and understanding in this world, Godfrey deserves to be provided for as well. He has asked for us to help him build a very modest home for him, his wife and his son so that they may have peace and privacy as they live their lives. This fundraiser aims to raise an initial $175 for labor and materials to begin construction as well as $75 for me to finally register Choonadi Orphan and Widow Care as a proper 501c3 non-profit. God bless you all and thank you to those who have been supporting the work we've been doing.
