Support for Greg Miller's Funeral Expenses

This is a hard post for us to make as we are asking for financial help for funeral expenses for our dad, Greg Miller. We lost dad Monday 4/15/24 due to cancer. He was 67 years old and lived in Trimont, MN.

Losing a loved one takes quite an emotional toll as many of you know all too well even when you know it’s inevitable. Our family has gone through a series of losses all due to cancer - Tony’s mom Jackie in January 2002, our brother Brandon April 2021, our step-mom Barb April 2023 & now our dad April 2024. We’re trying to navigate this the best we can.

It was exactly a year ago this week that our step-mom Barb Miller past away. At that time there was a Go Fund Me created for her funeral expenses. It helped financially and we found it also helped emotionally. Dad was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love as people showed they cared even some that hadn’t met Barb or our dad but learned of the struggle they endured battling cancer together. While it eased some of the financial burden, in the end dad still had to take out a loan for the remaining funeral expenses which still has to be covered by us since neither of them had life insurance prior to cancer and after being diagnosed with cancer couldn’t afford it.

Dad and Barb enjoyed family, friends, pets and the outdoors. Dad & Barb endured many challenging years nurturing each other as they both dealt with cancer. They didn’t live lavishly but income was negatively impacted when they were unable to work. There were no extra funds to set aside in savings or for funeral insurance.

Dad & Barb never asked for financial help throughout the past challenging years as they both dealt with ongoing cancer treatments. They didn’t want to be a burden to others but would be the first to offer help,care, and support to others.

Greg’s visitation and service will be held on April 27th 2024 at Kramer funeral home in Trimont,MN. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm and the service following at 1pm. Then a celebration of life and lunch will be held after the service with the location to be announced at the service.
