Support for Hailey Cdevaca and family

Hailey Cdevaca (smiling in the photo above) is a 5th-grade student at Carlos Gilbert Elementary School who helped lead the Lady Blackhawks basketball team to the championships in November 2019. Last week, Hailey was unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney failure. She is now in need of a kidney transplant. Hailey has been the ultimate trooper throughout her hospitalization at UNM Children's Hospital and continues to smile throughout all of the tests and procedures that she has had to endure in the past week. She is expected to remain hospitalized for another 1-2 weeks. Once she is discharged home, she will need to travel one hour to Albuquerque three times per week for dialysis treatments until she is able to receive a kidney transplant.
