Support for Hokie Football Gabe Williams family
Donation protected
HOKIE NATION! Gabe Williams family needs our prayers and our support. If you're not aware, Gabe is a freshman Linebacker on the Virginia Tech football team. He suffered a terrible injury in the Clemson game on November 9. His father is in a medically induced coma from an aneurism due to the trauma of watching his son's injury and taken off the field in an ambulance. Please consider a donation to help out his family. All donations will be sent to the Williams family to go towards medical costs for Mr. Williams. Here is Gabe's post on X.
I know many of you have reached out to my family and I after the game on Saturday & first, we want to say thank you. Thank you for the genuine care & compassion during this difficult time. I was discharged the night of my injury & hope to be on the road to recovery soon. My dad was at my game & suffered from a stroke & brain aneurysm after witnessing my injury. He is currently in a hospital in Roanoke in stable condition & he is in a medically induced coma. While we may not be able to respond to ever call & text, we feel the love & support from all of you during this time. We believe God will continue to work miracles & appreciate your thoughts, prayers & privacy as we go through this as a family.
Update: As of November 26, more than 2 weeks later, Mr. Williams is still in the hospital fighting for his life. Please continue to keep Gabe's family in your thoughts and prayers.
