Support for Iris Shuai's Family in Their Loss

It is with the deepest sadness that our community at HudsonWay Immersion School, lost a colleague, friend, teacher and role model in Iris Shuai, a Mandarin PreK4 assistant teacher at our NY campus. Iris’ passing on Monday, September 30, 2024 was a shock to our community as she was so vibrant, creative and loving in all that she did and to everyone she touched. She was a young and beautiful 25 year old young woman who accomplished so much since leaving home at the age of 15, yearning to explore the world and pursue education at the highest levels.

Iris is deeply missed by all. During this sad time, our thoughts and prayers are with her mother, Aihua Shen, father Jun Shuai and their extended family in China.

Iris touched the lives of so many of us and now we want to support her family during this challenging time. We created this campaign to raise money to support the costs that coming to the US entailed, as well as helping the family understand how much Iris was loved. All the proceeds collected will go directly to the family.
