Support for James West's Family After Tragedy

hello, this past year has been a rollercoaster of emotions. In October of 2023 my biological dad moved back to Oklahoma and took a job here to be closer to me and the rest of our family. He had spent 20 years over the road driving a truck. This job was a way to bring him home more often but still allowed him to travel and see the beauty that our country provides. (His favorite place was the Grand Canyon)
Sadly this new adventure was cut short on January 30th, 2024. He was traveling I70 EB and another semi pulled out in front of him. The injuries he sustained were unimaginable. The entire right side of his body was crushed. He faced 7 surgeries and was scheduled for two more. He remained in the hospital until March 8th when he came home with us and remained in a wheelchair until July. He had slowly graduated to a walker but was unable to walk very far due to the limitations from his injuries and the issues that needed to be resolved with more surgery.
this year he suffered from a range of depression and despair. In this wreck he didn't just lose the ability to walk and shower, he lost his livelihood, he lost his dog and in a sense he lost his identity.
James C West III was found unresponsive on December 16th. He is leaving behind a daughter and two grandsons. He didn't get the chance to be the grandpa he would have been.
Throughout all of this the trucking company has refused to cover his medical bills and he was left unable to provide.
He has around $453,000 in medical bills alone and Daughter is 7 months pregnant with a massive pile of bills, a funeral to plan and a baby on the way. We need help covering the costs that accumulated while he was here but we also need help traveling out of state to carry out his final wishes.
