Support for Jana Hinz

Jana Hinz has early uterine cancer and is currently facing many unknowns. Effective this Thanksgiving week, she is stepping back from her work endeavors to heal. We’re hoping this GoFundMe can release her from financial worries in the short term so that she can focus wholeheartedly on her health.

Many of us have been deeply touched - directly and indirectly - by Jana’s loving presence. During this season of thankfulness and giving, we’d love for her to receive abundant care from this community that she has cared for so well.

About Jana: She is an active and supportive daughter, sister, mother of four, aunt, grandmother to nine, and a lifelong resident of the Newton and Wichita area. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist with Architect Counseling Center and a facilitator with Legasus Group, an advising firm for family systems navigating complex family business transitions. Additionally, she has been pursuing a doctorate in family therapy and envisioning The Practice Center, a local learning community for mental health providers seeking to grow personally and professionally. She recently served as a resident guest lecturer for the Friends University Spiritual Formation program and has - over the past few years - impacted many therapists in training as an adjunct instructor and supervisor affiliated with Friends’ Family Therapy program.

Worth much more than her accolades, Jana is a beautiful soul who loves to be in nature - especially at the lake - and connected to God. Jana’s faith now allows her to enter the invitation of this trial with courage.

Through and beyond this time, we believe that Jana deserves to flourish and that she will continue to be a generative force in our lives.
