Support for Jason Donohue
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jake Talbott and my brother-in-law, Jason Donohue, recently suffered a stroke. He is currently in the hospital and his prognosis is unknown. He underwent emergency brain surgery to address the blood clot and is still heavily sedated as he recovers. Other medical issues (e.g diabetes) are affecting his recovery and the medical staff is struggling to stabilize those conditions.
Jason is a great person and has been an influential member of the community for many years. He graduated from Roland-Story High School and worked for several years at McFarland Clinic in Ames, IA. He currently works at Iowa Home Care in Marshalltown, IA. He was the assistant coach for the Roland-Story High Girls' basketball team for several years, hosted and helped with basketball clinics, and has helped with many sporting events over the years. He currently attends and announces games and is an avid Roland-Story supporter. Jason is also a huge Iowa State fan and follows all Iowa sports closely.
If you know the Donohue family, you also know they are self-sufficient and are not likely to ask for help. As one can imagine, the medical bills will be quite extensive and while medical insurance will help, the costs of care, including travel, and lodging to receive medical care, will be challenging for Jason and the family for quite some time.
We also have a CaringBridge page if you would like to leave words of encouragement and support. Posts will be shared with Jason and the family. This will be extremely powerful during his recovery.
We appreciate any help financial help and/or prayers that you can offer. Thank you so much.
Note: If Jason can recover without the need for these funds, we will contribute any remaining funds to a charity of Jason's choice.
