Support for Jason Price

If you are lucky enough to know Jason Price — you know what a special guy he is, how hard he works, and that he’s always ready to have some fun and make some memories. He brings a smile and laughter wherever he goes, and everyone would surely agree that we’re all better for having him in our lives in any capacity, big or small.

 

Although it feels surreal sharing this news, and he is vehemently against something like this - our well-loved son, father, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, boyfriend, boss, co-worker, and friend is going through something no one should ever go through alone.

 

In March of this year, after an unexpected ER visit for abdominal pain, Jason was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic colorectal liver cancer — a surprisingly rare diagnosis for someone of his age.

 

After a handful of trips to Roswell and numerous consults with physicians here, there, and in NYC, Jason is undergoing aggressive treatment in hopes of soon becoming operable. It will be a tough road, but we are connected with a surgeon who is incredibly experienced and very hopeful that given Jason’s age and health, he’ll handle the treatment better than most, and become a candidate for surgery.

 

If you know Jason, you know his work never resided at a desk or on a computer - his passions and energy have had him sharing his culinary expertise throughout the industry whether on his feet in the kitchen, directing the front of the house, curating delicious dining experiences, and everywhere in between. Unfortunately, this type of work becomes incredibly challenging, if not impossible, while under this aggressive level of treatment.

 

While your well-wishes, good vibes, prayers, etc. for successful treatment and surgical outcome are more than enough — we are committed to doing everything we can to help alleviate any financial distress he may experience due to being unable to work during this time. If you are so inclined and able to support this effort, we will be forever grateful.

 

Our goal was set with the next few months in mind — but this may be adjusted accordingly if/when circumstances change. In the event there is an excess of funds, they will be donated to a worthy cause to assist others going through the same.
