Support for Jay Rasmussen

A father, a mentor and a man who has always put everyone else before himself. The person I'm describing is Jay Rasmussen. Jay served with the US Army and also served many decades as a Lieutenant with the Hampshire fire department, retiring after 25 years. On top of that, Jay also recently retired from Hampshire High School / District 300 after working there for 27 years in the Buildings and Gounds division. Recently having symptoms of bad headaches, Jay went to seek medical treatment only to find out he had a mass on his brain that was ultimately deemed to be cancerous and needed to be removed immediately. Although the tumor was successfully removed, Jay is still in the ICU with a long road of recovery ahead of him. Jay is a guy that would never ask for help with anything, so with that being said, I'm trying to raise money for him to lessen the financial strain that is going to come in the near future. Jay is well known throughout the fire service and in the community he served. He was a great fireman and a mentor to many firefighters who crossed paths with him. He has been there for so many throughout the years, and I'm asking that we be there for him now.
