I'm Jeremy, and, as some of you may already know, my family and I have had some trouble for about the last nine months or so. I've got a beautiful wife and two gorgeous little girls, four years and one year old.
Here's what's going on; I have been out of a main source of income since about March, after absence from my full time job due to illness. We have borrowed very large sums from family and friends to get to this point. When November came around, we thought we were finally going to get some state help, and that didn't pan out, after I finally acquired another part time job.
This means that November, too, has gone unpaid. At this point, that includes, but is not limited to, rent, car note, and electricity. With my two part time jobs, I've been able to keep food on the table and some of the lower bills paid.
In the beginning of the second week of November, another issue came to light. The transmission in the car we've had since the end of 2017 failed. I'm currently quoted at $6500 for that, so that has taken a back burner, as Ford and our finance company refuse to help, and the warranty on the vehicle does not cover this.
Now we've come to the end of November, and with our friends and family depleted, we have been successfully evicted from our home.
I've gotten another job, a full time now, but it doesn't start until December.
What we are requesting here will go toward the following:
1. Paying the apartment everything we owe. With this we can request they remove the eviction from our record, which, for those that don't know, stays as long as a bankruptcy - seven years.
2. A down payment for another car. We don't want anything too fancy, we are just trying to get something safe and affordable that can fit our growing family.
3. Anything left over from those two things will go toward getting us a new place to live, so that we may avoid homelessness. Though all of our family has offered several places, all are already too small for the amount of people currently residing, and no further room to accommodate another four people, however small two of them may be.
With all of this in mind, much of this is needed within the next 5 days. After that, it will be more difficult, but will still help, so long as we can do SOMETHING before the end of the month of December.
I've had several people tell me to create a GoFundMe, but I'm a fairly proud person, and asking this is difficult. I've had many heart to heart conversations with God over this, for not being a super religious person. Though, I must say, I was hurting for work, and after these private talks with Him, several calls started landing in my lap for work. God is said to give us only what we can handle, but it doesn't say anywhere that we must handle it alone.
Thank you to all who have read to the end, and/or decided to donate to our cause. Having your help is crucial to this success and I cannot fathom the words to express mine and my family's gratitude for any and all assistance provided, no matter how small. God Bless.
