Support for Jeremy Dingle and family

Donation protected
Hi Guys,

The aim of this is to give support to my friend Jeremy Dingle, through what could only be described as a INSANE few years for him and his family.

I first met ‘Dingle’ in 2015. He was my head coach at a local MMA gym and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Anyone that knows Jer will attest to the fact he will do anything for anyone.
He wasn’t just a coach but an active and well respected fighter also.
We would share many a fight camp and fight card together, travelling far and wide up and down the UK.
He put so many hours outside of his normal coaching role into us fighters without hesitation (many of these factors he has now passed onto me) and it was a sad day for us all when he stepped down but a great friendship had been formed from it.

Outside of the cage Dingle is a family man.
His wife Sarah by his side , running her own hairdressing salon from the family home. His 2 young daughters, Shauni- an aspiring and talented young singer and Ezmae- a beautiful little soul just starting the daily battles of secondary school.

I wish that’s where it ended but as I said in the beginning, these guys have just had the worst few years.

Jeremy is a firefighter based out of St Austell. Currently on the sidelines due to suffering PTSD. He is finally getting the counselling he needs but not after a lengthy battle to do so.

In the line of duty it is apparent that you are going to see/experience some horrid situations that no one should ever have to see or be a part of (which are only natural to leave some long lasting negative effect).

Not only has Jeremy witnessed and and involved in some terrible things but last February he lost his stepmum and only 4 days later had to administer CPR to his brothers father in law after going round to check on him.
This was unfortunately not successful so had to break the news to his family.

A knock on effect of this tragedy was himself and his family having to leave their home of 12 years due to his brothers mother in-law moving back in.
Unfortunately, the new property they moved in to, over time became not fit to live in due to building faults. When approaching the landlord last week with a list of essential works required, the landlord chose not to adhere to his duties and the family were kindly met with an eviction notice for just after Christmas.

Jeremy’s physical health has deteriorated rapidly.
A mass has grown behind his eye which will eventually spread to his lungs and kidneys.
After over a year of constant pain and migraines and what was at first presented as a brain tumour, Jeremy was finally diagnosed with GPA
An auto immune disorder where his body attacks itself.
Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a form of vasculitis—a family of rare disorders characterized by inflammation of the blood vessels, which can restrict blood flow and damage vital organs and tissues. Formerly called Wegener’s granulomatosis, GPA typically affects the sinuses, lungs, and kidneys but can involve any organs. GPA can worsen rapidly, so early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent organ damage or failure.

In complete transparency Jeremy has been given a life expectancy of 10-15yrs.

With all these health issues it is not only Jeremy that’s suffering. Sarah, is having to go without work for days on end due to caring for him and taking him to the doctors and hospital appointments. Between them they are not bringing in enough money to survive.

With their house being taken from them, this also removes Sarah’s business space and only form of household income.

It was his birthday last week which should have been cause to celebrate but his van blew up on him the same day leaving him now stuck at home if Sarah has the car.

The health issues Jeremy is suffering means a complete end to his fire career and the old life he once lived has now gone.
His mum is also in the late stages of terminal cancer with only one outcome apparent.

His chemotherapy started yesterday but this will only be for longevity of life not to cure.

There is one potential life saving option for Jer. In Mexico they offer Gene therapy and Stem Cell treatments which has cured people with the same issues. These treatments over here cost upwards of £1,000,000 but in Mexico it is about £100,000. Still an astronomical amount but far less.

Jeremy would hate that I am creating this as he is a very proud Cornishman.
Having talks with him of late, yes he would obviously love to get to Mexico to have a chance of being cured but he’s realistic.
His priority is current financial security for his family.
He just wants a roof over his head for his “3 favourite ladies” and somewhere that Sarah can work from.

As I previously said he would not ever want anything like this but I am helpless and can see no other option.

So please guys, only if you are able to. Please give what you can to this lovely little family.
Thank you and have a great Christmas.
