Support for Jim Durso

A very dear friend, beautiful person and Union HS graduate, Class of 1979, Jim Durso ‘s life took a very unfortunate turn on September 15, 2021, as he suffered a stroke at his home in Morristown, NJ.

Fortunately, Jim was rushed to Morristown Memorial Hospital in time for ICU doctors to control this medical emergency. However, Jim was left paralyzed on his right side and incapable of coherent speech. Yet, thankfully, he remained cognizant and nonverbally communicative.

Subsequently, Jim, supported by his mental and spiritual resilience, and the love of his wife, Laura, his family and friends, was released from the hospital and sent to Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ. Following weeks of rehabilitation, Jim now heads home on October 16, where the road to recovery continues.
