Support for Joan's Family After Her Loss
Donation protected
On December 23, 2024, we lost my beautiful cousin, Joan Danielle Gontenas, to a long, brave battle to breast cancer. Joan—a devoted mother, amazing daughter, incredible sister, cousin, niece, aunt and cherished friend—lovingly known as "Iya," was a beacon of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for everyone around her.
Joan’s life revolved around family, but tragically, cancer took her far too early, leaving us an unimaginable void in our hearts.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting her immediate family during this heartbreaking time. Her mom, Gloria; dad, Danilo; Tita Menchie; both sisters, Janice and Jill, alongside brother JD, have sacrificed and stood next to Joan’s bedside every step of the way during these extremely rough, sleepless 2+ months. This has left a significant financial burden. Most of the funeral expenses have been taken care of through extended family assistance so this call for help is for any upcoming medical bills, household expenses, and other needs that may pop up since Joan was taken care through in-home hospice.
Your donations will allow the family the time and space to grieve and also the chance to catch up financially from these unexpected months of hospital stays and in-home care.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
