Support for Johnny Akers Final Farewell

On November 4th, 2024, we lost a true angel on earth in John Ray Akers. Johnny was a beautiful man who always brought a smile to everyone’s face, who was selfless and giving. At only 23 years old, he leaves behind his parents, Shelly and Robert, and his 9 siblings: Robert, Andrew, Casey, Coletta, Evan, Jordan, Nethaniel, Nicholas, and Alayna, as well as aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

John was loved by all, an absolute joy to have around no matter the circumstances. He was talented beyond belief, an incredible drummer, amazing singer, pianist—the list goes on.

His life was tragically taken from our family by the act of a careless drunk driver, and we pray that justice is served and he pays for what he did.

There is another GoFundMe in effect to support his father’s side of the family, to which his mother was not included.

We know this is a difficult time for everyone, but we are asking for help to lay Johnny to rest and allow Shelly to grieve her baby boy without the worry of bills. Anything you’re able to contribute, even thoughts and prayers, is greatly appreciated.
