Support For Jon Trainor
Donation protected
In April of 2018, Jon was the victim of a gunshot to the head while he was working a 2nd job driving people around via a rid sharing application. The severity of the gun shot sent Jon on a long road of recovery including several surgeries - including a reconstruction of the right side of his skull - and 100's of hours of physical and occupational therapy. To this day, Jon continues to make great strides in the face of this monumental challenge to get his life back from before the accident. He has remained dedicated to doing the work that is required to succeed in his recovery for himself, his son and all of the people that have selflessly donated to his cause. At this point, insurance has extended the benefit for Physical Therapy which is a huge financial lift off his shoulders. Unfortunately, it only covers a portion of the in home care that he requires and the remaining comes out of pocket.
In 2.5 years Jon has gone from being in the ICU on a ventilator, dialysis and unreal number of IV bags to walking with a walker (for short periods of time) and spending a large amounts of time fighting for justice (though trial) and his own future.
If you feel led to contribute to this fight, your contribution will be treated with fiscal responsibility and 100% of it will go directly to extending his in-home care.
