Support for Jose Carrasquillo's Memorial Service

My dad, Jose Carrasquillo, tragically passed away at 45 years old. I am raising funds so that we can have a funeral and Memorial Service. Any donations are greatly appreciated.

Jose Carrasquillo was tragically killed on Thursday, July 4th, shortly after 2 pm outside of his home. My dad's best friend, Alex, was threatening my dad (I am unsure of why). All I knew was that he was schizophrenic and not currently taking his medication. Alex came to his home looking for my dad. My dad was not home but was in the neighborhood. He found my dad and shot him 3 times. My dad tried to run home but fell outside at the next house next door. A neighbor tried to save him by turning him to his side and giving him CPR, but he passed. I was told they revived him at the hospital, but due to the nature of where he was shot, he did not make it.

The man who shot him was found and arrested and was charged with first-degree murder. After the man killed my dad, he killed another person a few minutes later. I don't 100% know all of the information, but I will be reaching out to the detective for more details.

Thank you everyone, for keeping my family and I in your thoughts and prayers; it truly means so much. I am truly in shock. My dad was only 45 years old, and never did any of us expect this to happen and for him to pass so young.

We are hoping to plan his funeral next weekend and hope to give him a beautiful Life Celebration Memorial Service. Any donations, no matter the amount, are truly appreciated.

My dad was a good man. He wasn't perfect; he had his personal demons, but he tried his best and was a good person, which is all anyone can ask. I can't believe he is gone; I miss him so much already.
