Support for José Luis Silva’s Funeral Expenses

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved José Luis Silva on August 25th. He was hit and killed on his motorcycle on 24th & J St. in front of Rick’s Dessert Diner by an oncoming truck. From his infectious laughter to his incredibly big heart, he was a bright light in our lives and to everyone he met. José Luis was a husband, father, son, brother, friend, and Marine, among many other titles. Our hearts are heavy, and we are struggling to cope with the sudden loss of someone so special to us.

As his wife, Michelle Silva, navigates through this difficult time, she is faced with unexpected funeral expenses after being laid off only a few months ago. We want to give José Luis the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and to say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of his funeral and other unexpected expenses during this unimaginably painful period.
