Support for Josh Johnson and Family

Donation protected
This page was created by the Johnson family to help raise financial support for Josh Johnson, his wife, Emma and their son, Finn. Josh has recently faced a critical health crisis which has resulted in a great financial need for medical bills and daily living expenses.
In November 2022, Josh, age 26, was hospitalized for eleven days with a severe case of pneumonia. While recovering, it was discovered that Josh's heart was weakened during his illness. Once Josh was home, his recovery continued with close monitoring of his heart function. Josh could not return to work.
On December 30, Josh experienced heart trouble and was taken to the hospital by ambulance and admitted to the cardiac ICU in critical condition. The next morning, on December 31, Josh suffered cardiac arrest and immediately received life-saving treatment.
Twenty-four hours later, on New Year's Day, Josh was transported by helicopter in the hands of a life-flight team to the Cardiac ICU of The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia to receive more specialized care, including continued life-supporting care and surgical procedures. With much prayer, by God's grace, and with expert care, Josh improved day by day. His fight for life was strong, and his recovery was miraculous every step of the way.
After twenty-nine days, Josh was well enough to return home to continue his recovery. Josh has a long road of recovery ahead of him that will require diligent caution and rest.
Until Josh can return to work, it will be impossible to cover the costs of countless medical bills that will accumulate for some time, as well as the usual living expenses. There will be many doctor appointments and tests ahead involving travel expenses also. Insurance will cover a portion of the costs, of course, but overwhelming expenses will remain.
For those of you that know Josh, he is an adventurous, loving, hard-working, strong young man, who likes to keep busy, and it will be difficult for him to be still and rest in this season of his life. His wife, Emma, has been a solid rock by his side loving him through every hour of every day of this journey so far. Emma will be continuing to care for Josh at home, while also working at her job. Finn, their sweet, young son, is very happy to have Daddy home again. This precious, little family has a long road ahead of them as Josh continues to recover, but they are so grateful and happy to be all together at home. We thank God for His grace, healing and faithfulness! The path ahead may be long, but it has a very positive outlook, and we look forward to all the milestones of progress in Josh's recovery along the way.
For anyone that would like to help Josh, Emma and Finn, any contributions to Josh's medical expenses and family living expenses would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made on this page or sent to Josh's Venmo account. (@joshiebearjohnson)
All contributions will directly help cover medical and living expenses.
Our entire family appreciates your support and especially your prayers for Josh and his family during this difficult time. With extreme gratefulness, we thank you.
