Support for Julie Schenck
Donation protected
As most of you have heard our fellow Elk, friend and bartender at Ellisville Elks, Julie Schenck has been diagnosed with lung cancer. On December 21st Julie will be admitted into the hospital to remove a portion of her lung. She will be in the hospital for 4-5 days with a recovery time of 1-2 months. Obviously, she will not be back to work for quite some time even if the closure of the Elks is lifted. The mandated closure has already posed monetary issues for Julie and Duncan. The medical bills that will accrue during this time will make it even more difficult to keep up with their everyday bills. Although insurance is helpful, there are significant expenses that will not be covered.
With that in mind, our goal is to aim high and raise funds to lessen the financial impact they are going to face. We are going to put all funds raised towards their housing and utilities for as long as we can so that it will alleviate some of their expenses so that they can cover their insurance deductible. This will help lift some of the burden so that Julie can concentrate on her health and recovery as her primary focus.
We are asking anyone who is willing, to help in whatever way you can. Even the smallest donation is helpful, and we want to support our fellow Elk, friend, and bartender during this extremely difficult time.
