Support for Julie, Teresa & Family after Tree Destroyed Home
Donation protected
At about 12:45 AM on Wednesday, December 18th, during the massive wind storm, a large tree fell onto my mom’s home, crashing through two living rooms and the dining room ceiling.
Miraculously, no one was harmed, but the damage to the house itself is devastating and has left my mother (Julie Orrin), my aunt (Teresa Simpson), my grandmother (Karen Olson), and my brother (Micah Orrin) without a home just one week away from Christmas.
My mom is an incredibly giving and hardworking person.
In September, she completed a mission trip to Uganda where she worked in a medical clinic. She also works and serves as office administrator at her church, New Beginnings Open Bible in Aberdeen. My mom and Teresa are also owners of the small business JOTS Jewels, where they make and sell handmade jewelry at local craft fairs and markets (a lot of their jewelry-making tools and supplies were lost and/or destroyed by the tree fall).
On top of the additional costs of living arrangements, hotel stays, food, tree removal, and a huge amount of home repairs, there are also several additional trees on the property near the house that need to be removed so that this doesn’t happen again.
This is going to be a very long process to getting things back to “normal” for them and any amount of money donated would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
