A Tribute to Taylor Wayne Cheek and Support for His Family.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Taylor Wayne Cheek, a devoted husband, father, son, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, in Colombia. At the age of 31 years old, Taylor’s life was filled with love, joy, and dreams for the future, especially for his precious baby girl, Isobel.
He grew up in McPherson, Kansas, and graduated from McPherson High School in 2011. He studied computer engineering at Wichita State University and worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin and TRC Companies.
Taylor met Julieth in 2017, and they married in 2019. In late 2023, they welcomed their greatest blessing, baby Isobel, into the world. Taylor was a proud and loving father. He adored Isobel and cherished every moment he spent with her, constantly dreaming of the beautiful future for his daughter.
In early 2024, the family relocated to Medellín, Colombia (Julieth’s hometown), to begin a new chapter. They were very happy there and, with their financial savings, had started building an apartment they hoped to live in during the upcoming year. Taylor’s sudden passing has left Julieth and Isobel facing an unimaginable loss and an uncertain future without him.
Funeral costs, travel expenses to the U.S., and future living needs are significant challenges as they adjust to this new reality.
We are humbly asking for your generosity to help Julieth and Isobel during these challenging moments. Your contributions will go towards:
• Funeral expenses, travel, and transporting Taylor’s remains to the U.S.
• Providing for Isobel’s immediate care.
Taylor’s memory lives on in Isobel’s beautiful smile, her innocence, and the love he poured into his family every single day.
Please consider contributing and sharing this link with others who may wish to help. Every gesture of support brings comfort and hope to his family as they face this profound loss.
Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this profoundly difficult time.
With sincere gratitude, Taylor’s friends and family.
