“Support for Kameron’s Boys After the Alaska Plane Crash

Donation protected

On February 6, 2025, Kameron Hartvigson boarded a Bering Air flight from Unalakleet to Nome. At 3:18 p.m., the plane experienced a rapid loss of elevation and speed before disappearing from radar. For over 12 hours Kameron’s family and friends held onto hope, praying for good news. Tragically, the wreckage was found on sea ice 34 miles southeast of Nome, and all 10 individuals on board were lost.

Kameron was the devoted father of two teenage boys. I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like to say goodbye to your dad as he leaves for work, only to wake up to the news that he’s never coming home. The heartbreak, the shock, the weight of it all—it’s beyond words.

Shuree and her husband Clinton have built a life centered around love and family, raising and blending a family, including their little ones (ages 2 and 4), while running their own businesses. Now, their priority is making sure Kameron’s boys have the time, space, and support they need to grieve and heal.

We are asking for donations to help provide:
❤️ Grief counseling and therapy for the boys, ensuring they have the emotional support needed to process their loss.
Activities and experiences that can serve as healthy outlets for their emotions during this difficult time.
Household support (cleaning, meal prep, Airbnb management, childcare) so that Shuree and Clinton can focus on what matters most—being there for their kids.

I have had the privilege of knowing Shuree and her children for nearly 15 years—she is one of the most gracious, caring, and selfless friends I have ever known. She is the kind of person who shows up for others at the drop of a hat, and now, she and her family need our support more than ever. While I’m in Australia and she’s in Alaska, I can’t physically be there to help, and that breaks my heart. But I do know this: in times of grief, a community can make all the difference. That’s why I’m creating this page—to ask for donations, prayers, and support in any way possible.

The road ahead will be incredibly difficult, but together, we can help lighten the load. If you’re able to contribute, any amount will make a difference. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and sending prayers to this beautiful family.

Thank you for showing up for them in their time of need.
