Support for Karunanidhi's Family in Grief

Dear Friends,

Please support Karunanidhi Krishnamoorthi’s family (KK) while they grieve the unexpected loss of their father and husband.

KK is a father of two young daughters and a supportive husband. He is hardworking and honest, not only as a person, but as a software engineer for the past 2 1/2 decades. Having met him during my initial days after relocating to the USA, he has been one of my close friends in the last 15 years.

KK does not have any major health issues, extremely fit and one who exercises regularly. He worked from home and his usual routine is to exercise in his basement during lunch time. On May 13th of 2024, he suddenly went into cardiac arrest while exercising and nobody was home at that time. His kids came home from school and were doing their usual activities. His wife, Lakshmi came home later and was searching to check on him. When she called his phone, it was ringing from the basement. When she went down, she saw him collapsed next to the treadmill. Immediately, she called EMS, but it was too late.

KK passed away at the age of 52, leaving his wife, two daughters and those around him in shock. KK was the primary breadwinner of the family and their major pillar of support.

In the midst of grieving, Lakshmi is also feeling the weight of financial concerns for the family which includes immediate end of life services, home mortgage and other financial liabilities. It makes it much more urgent to ensure the financial well being of the family which should be the last thing on their mind.

Your contribution regardless of size will help alleviate the financial strain on the family during this difficult time. All donations will directly go to Lakshmi, now providing for their young daughters as a single mother, to keep their home and pay their bills.
