Support for Katherine Simpson; A journey through cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to share the news about Katherine Simpson, who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. At just 43 years old Katherine is facing one of the toughest battles of her life, and she needs our support now more than ever.

Katherine has always been a beacon of light in our lives. Whether it’s her infectious laughter, her ability to lift others up, or her unwavering kindness, she has touched the hearts of so many around her.

She has dedicated her life to helping others before herself and making a difference in her community by giving back with food drives, or even a simple yes I'll round up to the nearest dollar when getting groceries.

Unfortunately, the news of her diagnosis has been overwhelming. Pancreatic cancer is aggressive and comes with an array of challenges—physically, emotionally, and financially.

As Katherine begins her treatment journey, we want to ensure that she has all the support and resources necessary to focus on fighting this disease.

The cost of treatment, medications, and ongoing care can be astronomical, and the financial burden is already starting to weigh heavily on Katherine and her family. 

Katherine and her son have had to give up their home and move in with family in order to prepare for the next stages and be able to cope with what lies ahead.

There are no further treatment options for Katherine in Canada that are covered under the provincial health care plan. 

There is an option of a clinic in Mexico, but the costs are prohibitive. 

We are aiming to raise funds to help give Katherine the ability to seek treatment in Mexico, but any contribution—no matter the size—will be a tremendous help. Your generosity will provide Katherine with the peace of mind she needs to focus on her treatment and recovery.
