Support for Kelly & Scott Carpenter

After several months of medical appointments where she tried to get to the bottom of her continuous coughing and shortness of breath, Kelly was diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis in 2013 which results in her need for a double lung transplant. Through her incredible determination in qualifying for transplant and adjusting to life on an oxygen compressor and tanks, Kelly continues to live each day to the fullest, cherishing moments with friends and family while waiting for a donor.

On January 10, 2020, Kelly was admitted to the hospital following a regularly scheduled appointment at the lung clinic. Her oxygen needs have increased beyond what she can get at home and her doctor is concerned about placing strain on her heart if she is not receiving enough. Kelly is now in the hospital where she can be provided more oxygen while waiting for lungs.

Friends and family are raising money to help fund anything that will help Kelly and Scott adjust to hospital living. Contributions will be used to help with meals, hospital parking, medical expenses (pre and post surgery), self-care, etc. We're praying everyday for Kelly's lungs to quickly arrive and in the meantime this can help make things a little easier for these two incredibly, amazing people during a difficult time.
