Support for Kim & Brian

Hi, my name is Erin and I am the youngest daughter of Kim & Brian McGonagle.

As many of you know, mom has been through two battles with cancer, which she beat with incredible strength. Unfortunately on July 12th, she suffered another medical blow. She had a brain aneurysm in the back left part of her brain. Due to some previous health issues in the weeks leading up to this, dad was very aware of how mom was feeling and with some signs of severe pain, he called the paramedics and they brought her to the Missouri Baptist ER just in time. We believe that she had the aneurysm while in the ER, which allowed action to be taken immediately and she was transferred to Barnes Jewish and into their incredible Neourosurgery ICU. On the afternoon of the 12th she had a stent placed in the artery where the aneurysm occurred. In line with her incredible and undeniable warrior spirit, mom has been responding, both verbally and physically, to all tests that she has had to perform. From day one she could wiggle her toes and fingers, give thumbs up, etc. While her eyesight on her left side is not back to 100% yet, mom is doing amazing! With her incredible progress so far, we are very hopeful, but there will be large hospital bills coming their way soon, as she has been in the ICU for over two weeks at this point.

We are so very thankful as a family for the outpouring of love, support, prayers, and good vibes that you all have shared throughout our journey so far and appreciate any donation you can make. I will update this page as mom progresses forward in her journey to get home, have some of those great home-cooked meals from dad and snuggle with her pup again!
