Support for Kim Desmond's Family
Donation protected
Kim Desmond (50) peacefully passed away on October 8th after open heart surgery earlier in the week.
She leaves behind her husband of 21 years Charlie Desmond, her mother, Catherine Wynia; her step-father, Jerry Farmer; her sons, Caleb Teague (Courtney Enzweiler) and Jacob (Mekayla) Desmond; her grandchildren, Avery, Alex, Daphne, Erik, Evelyn, Iris and one on the way; her step-sister, Christi Smith; and a magnitude of other family members and friends.
You could always count on Kim to lend a hand and approached life with a big smile on her face. She had two loves, the love for her family and the love of working with children.
Kim could not be prouder of her family. That was clear when she spoke about them and shared pictures. Kim and husband Charlie spent 21 wonderful years together and recently purchased their first home.
She carried that same love to the children she cared for each and every day at school. It was easy to see how much the children loved her back.
Kim’s memory lives on through her family, friends, and the hundreds lives she touched during her 20 years as a teacher. She inspired children and teachers alike with her creativity and engaging teaching style.
Now, Kim’s family needs our help.
We ask that you generously give to ensure that Charlie can stay in the home they lovingly bought together and to provide additional support for her grandson Erik.
Kim and Charlie were raising Erik and now in Kim’s absence, Charlie will be Erik’s support system – having access to additional educational and support services will have a last impact on this little boy’s life.
