Support for Kristi, Kaleb, and Hannah Bowers

Dear friends and family of Kristi, Hannah, and Kaleb Bowers,

It is with a heavy heart and the utmost discretion that I am sending you this letter.

Due to very personal reasons, Kristi has had to file for divorce. As you can imagine, this is deeply painful, traumatic, and emotionally gut-wrenching for her, but it is in the best interest of her and her children.

You may also know that Kaleb has CF (cystic fibrosis), a condition that comes with a seemingly endless onslaught of doctors’ appointments and fees. Knowing that Kristi will now be on her own to pay not just for the divorce, but, at the moment, all other expenses related to healthcare and basic survival, we are asking you to consider helping keep her afloat.

Kristi is a dedicated mother, daughter, teacher, coach, and friend. She never does anything without putting 150% of her effort into it. Many of us have been blessed by her kindness and bottomless servant's heart. Many of us have been witnesses to her determination to be there for the hurting, lost, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Now it is time for us to serve her.

Obviously, this is a very private matter, and she is not ready to discuss details, but your prayers and generosity are deeply coveted right now. This is going to be a long and arduous battle, but with a solid support system, she and the kids will be able to function and one day thrive. I did ask her permission before setting this up and while it was very hard for her to say yes, it will not be possible to manage this next phase of life without the help of her friends and family.

If you have students who know or are connected to Kristi, Kaleb, or Hannah, please, please protect her heart by being as private and discreet as possible. While she hates the idea of sharing such painful and uncomfortable struggles, the reality of being a private school teacher and caring for the needs of her kids leaves her little option but to ask for help.
