Help Support the Family of Lacey Sanchez

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the unexpected passing of Lacey Sanchez on July 17, 2024, in downtown Saint Augustine. Lacey was not just a beloved member of our community, but the heart and soul behind Coastal Carriages, the cherished small business that provided enchanting horse and buggy rides through the historic streets of Saint Augustine.

Lacey leaves behind her three beautiful children and her longtime partner, Jacob Smith. While Lacey and Jacob never had the official title of marriage, their love and commitment to each other were known to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing them. They built a life together, raising their children and nurturing Coastal Carriages as a family.

Unfortunately, Lacey's sudden passing has left her family in a precarious situation. Without life insurance and with their household accustomed to living paycheck to paycheck, Jacob and the children are facing an uncertain future. The loss of Lacey’s income, combined with the sudden need for childcare and daily living expenses, is an overwhelming burden for them.

We are reaching out to the community for support during this incredibly difficult time. Your contributions will help Jacob and the children navigate this tragic event, covering immediate expenses such as childcare, housing, and other essential needs as they try to rebuild their lives without Lacey.

Lacey was a kind, vibrant soul who brought joy to many through her work with Coastal Carriages. She touched the lives of countless people with her warm smile and generous spirit. Now, it’s our turn to give back and support her family in their time of need.

No amount is too small, and every contribution will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Together, we can help ease the financial strain on Jacob and the children, providing them with some comfort and stability as they grieve and begin to heal.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support.

With gratitude,

Cody Smith (Brother)
