Hello, my name is Tracy Isler Soumahoro. I am a mother of 6: Leroy, Starasia, Giovanni, Diamond, Lancine, & Maiba. I have 8 grandchildren: Taylor, Tommy, Aidan, Travon, Tracy, Giovanna, Treasure, & Ty’Quial.

As I was in the process of moving my family to Macon, GA, I received a call that my son, Lancine, was a victim of senseless gun violence in his own neighborhood. Lancine was on the path to graduating from welding school and had just turned 21. My son had such a beautiful, family-centered spirit and always took care of myself and his siblings. He was always smiling and taking care of people. Lancine has truly gone away with a lot of our love way too soon!

Unfortunately, my move to Macon has changed, and upon my arrival, I was not able to see my son. My only true knowledge of the incident has come from my community, with the lack of support or information that has come from police, doctors, etc.

However, it is my family's true wish to return my son back to where our lineage all started in New York for his final rest. That’s where Bakary was born and was raised and our family is there. We need help with traveling expenses to get back forth to new to from Georgia and New York.

Today, I am asking for the help and support of anyone that can contribute during this time of grievance for me and my family. Anything is appreciated.
