Support for Lauren Pricola - In Loving Memory of Riley

With heavy hearts, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of sweet 6-year-old Riley Pricola, who has now joined her daddy, Ed, in heaven. This devastating tragedy comes as Lauren continues to grieve the loss of her husband, Ed, who was taken from her and their children nearly two years ago. To now lose Riley—there are simply no words to capture the depth of this sorrow.

Riley was a radiant light, brightening every room with her joyful spirit. Her love touched everyone around her, and she was the most caring big sister to Everett (4 years old) and a loving big cousin to baby Stella. Mommy and Daddy were Riley’s world, and she would express her affection by writing letters and drawing pictures for her Mommy, leaving special notes and drawings for her Daddy in heaven. Riley was a bundle of energy, with a brilliant mind and a contagious laughter that will be deeply missed.

For those in the community who may not have known Lauren’s husband, Ed Pricola, let me share a little about him.

On February 24, 2023, Ed—devoted husband, loving father, and dedicated Flight Nurse—tragically lost his life in the Care Flight crash that claimed the lives of everyone aboard. Ed was deeply passionate about his career, and even more so about his family and community. He lived with purpose, always striving to help others, and ultimately, he lost his life doing what he loved. Ed was a true hero.

Before Lauren and Everett could even begin to heal from the unimaginable loss of Ed, they are struck by another devastating tragedy. As Lauren faces this unbearable grief, we aim to ease any financial burdens, allowing her to focus on healing. Our goal is to cover Riley's funeral expenses and help Lauren take as much time as possible to grieve without the added stress of financial worries.

Now it’s our turn to rally around Lauren and Everett. This profound loss has left an indelible mark on their lives, and while nothing can replace what they’ve lost, we can come together as a community to offer our support. Let’s show Lauren the love and strength that Reno is known for.
