Support for Laviolette Family

Hi, my name is Kim and I am doing this fundraiser for my sister Karen and her family.

The family has been overwhelmed over the last few months after receiving the news that Roger Sr was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer.

As a family over the years, they have overcome many obstacles and burdens after Roger Sr's heart attack in 2007. This left him disabled and unable to work because he's been suffering with brain damage as a result of his heart attack. He walked out of the hopital in 2007 and was called a "walking miracle" as there was no medical explanation for how he survived that.

But here they are again, 15 years later, fighting a battle that can't be beaten. Since Roger's cancer diagnosis, Karen has had to miss several hours, days and now, weeks of work. Roger Sr was too weak for cancer treatment. Chemo was not an option but doctor's thought they may be able to do a few rounds of radiation to help with his comfort. After 2 days of radiation, he was hospitalized. He has been in the critical care unit since. The family has been by his side every day supporting and comforting him while he fights all that is against his health.

Karen has exhausted all vacation days at work and is no longer getting paid while absent.

I am asking for any donation that may be able to help my sister and her family towards medical bills, house bills, and or final arrangements.
